Sony , at a pre-IFA event in Berlin, launched the successor for Xperia E1, smartphone, Xperia E3. The company launched the new smartphone in two variants, Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual. Though the pricing for the two variants is not disclosed, the smartphone will be available from Autumn 2014, worldwide.
The specs for both the models are same except for the additional sim card slot on the later. The new budget phone will be shipped with a 4.7 inch display with the resolution of 480X854. The model will run on android’s latest KitKat version (out-of-the-box). About the shooter, it will house a 5MP rare shooter and a front facing VGA camera. Some of the other key specs include quad-core Qualcomm 400 clocked at 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 305 Graphic processor. The phone will have a 4GB internal ROM which can be further expanded till 32GB through an external SD card.
The USP of E3 is the addition of “Shake to Start” feature from SONY which would allow users to navigate to their favourite apps on just a wrist shake.
According to SONY, E3 will support 4G in some of the markets, with other standard connectivity options like 3G, Edge/GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS with Glonass.
