Samsung launched its latest flagship mobile namely Samsung Galaxy S5 and now today the device has entered the Indian markets and available for at a price tag of Rs 51500. The device is available for purchase through online retailers, including Samsung’s own online store. The phone is available in Black and White variants, with a 20% cashback on Citibank credit cards.
The price of the phone is in accordance with what GC had reported earlier. Along with India, Samsung Galaxy S5, is scheduled for a world wide launch in 150 countries. The device went on sale in South Korea before the launch to dodge the government imposed ban on the sales of the phone.
Samsung has launched Exynos-powered octa-core version of the Galaxy S5 in India, while Samsung showcased the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801-powered version at MWC 2014, amidst much fanfare. It is quite interesting that Exynos-powered Octa Core processor performs better in some of the bechmark tests than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801-powered processor.
One day before the worldwide launch of the flagship device, Samsung rolled out a minor update to improve the stability of the system. The update is available through OTA (Over The Air) and can be updated from Settings> Updates. The update is just a minor update with not much updates.
