Google Android 4.4.1 KitKat is all set to roll out on Google Nexus 5 with improved camera features. In an interview on The Verge, Google’s Director of Engineering for Android David Burke said that the Google Android 4.4.1 KitKat update will bring major transformation to the camera app.
Some of the improvements that one can except to the camera with Google Android 4.4.1 KitKat update would faster focusing as compared to the present requires time to focus. The shutter speed of the camera would also improve rather than relying on OIS (optical image stabilization) which is the case with current OS.
Thus improvement in shutter speed means the time to capture images would decrease drastically and will lead to more stable images. Thus if the camera shakes a little bit while capturing images would not probably make the images blur. Reportedly the white balance algorithms are also improved to maintain the natural color scale.
It is also likely that the camera itself will launch quicker, about a second earlier than the present app. One of the improvement would be an addition of a HDR+ mode which will show the progress of processing.Google Android 4.4.1 KitKat to improve camerahttp://www.gadgetcluster.com/2013/12/google-android-4-4-1-kitkat-to-improve-camera/http://i1.wp.com/www.gadgetcluster.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Android-kitkat-4.4.1.jpg?fit=1020%2C679http://i1.wp.com/www.gadgetcluster.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Android-kitkat-4.4.1.jpg?resize=150%2C150 ANDROIDMOBILEandroid, kitKat
