Microsoft Studios exec Phil Harrison in an interview to OXM said that the Xbox One’s power is not yet realized not even by the launch titles. The titles launched for the Xbox One do not make use of all the Xbox One’s power.
For every feature you’ve seen in the launch titles, there are five features in the queue.
Some of the titles launched with Xbox One such as Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead rising 3 have only used some of the features of the features offered by Microsoft’s Xbox One. He believes that the coming titles will be able to make use of new technology to improve the overall gaming experience.
The games you celebrate and are proud of in the first year, when you look back at them from the perspective of ten years from now; you’d be amazed at the difference. It’s a combination of the tools getting better, developers beginning to understand the unique architecture to work with.
According to Harrison one of the important feature present in Xbox One compared to Xbox 360 is “cloud servers”. These cloud servers will allow the developers to unlock the full potential of the gaming console.
Harrison was delighted to quote that the team of engineers working on the console with him are some of the smartest people he has ever seen. He also teased about the future plans of Xbox One, which could be rolled out once the launching phase of the console is over.
